About Me
Kate Parsons is an LGBTQIA+ Game Developer from Ogden, Utah. She graduated Weber State University with an associates degree a month before she graduated high school at the award winning Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science. Additionally, she was selected for several scholarships and attended the University of Utah for 5 years while building a diverse repertoire of classes and skillsets. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the College of Architecture in Spring of 2025 where her first large game Hermes Runner is released on Steam. She has participated in multiple game sprints including classwork as well as game jams such as Global Game Jam 2025. She was selected for multiple academic awards and made the dean’s list several times.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, charcoal drawing, and planning for her TTRPG campaigns. She enjoys learning new skills and seeing new visual art mediums as well as playing as much games as possible for further inspiration. As a child, Kate played games as most of her free time (much to her parents chagrin) giving her a large board of inspiration in her adult life. She grew up playing Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pokémon and other Nintendo classics as well as smaller indie titles like Hollow knight, Stardew Valley, and Hades. Nowadays she is exploring the more mature titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
